My First Ride....

Will be having training at Jurong - (Print Centre) these 2 days.

My male colleague (Frankie) whom I regard him as a "big brother" gave me a lift on his bike from AMK to Jurong.

At first, I was rather reluctant and scared as I've not rode on a bike before. But thinking of waking up as early as 6 am in the morning to catch the 8.05 am bus from Lakeside just puts me off. And I have to do it for 2 days. Thus, I asked Frankie if I could catch a ride from him.

I was rather worried about the ride tho. Cos on Monday, I chatted with him thru IM in our lotus notes about how to go Jurong and that if I were to catch a ride from him, abt what shoes to wear, etc...It wasn't that bad an experience riding on his bike afterall... :)

As Frankie knows it's my first time catching a rifr on a bike, he went slow all the way. (Frankie - thanks! if u're reading my blog :P)

I kind of enjoyed the ride altho I was rather stiff an held on tightly to his shoulders as he asked me not to "anyhow" sway here and there. (an obedient passenger, ya?)

It wasn't a "roller-coaster" kind of experience afterall! haha.........

Attended the first day of training for the Workplace Safety & Health Committee course today. Met the instructor (Damo) who taught me first aid lessons when I was in secondary school during my ECA-St John days. I wanted to approach him and ask if he was, but he came forward to me during tea break instead. He said I looked familiar and asked if he met me at other organisations or trainings before. I told him I was from NBSS - St John's, and from there he remembered... so we chatted for a while. For a moment, I thought to myself....I didn't change much since secondary school days, ya? haha... It caught me thinking about the days in St John. During those time, Damo is a stern-looking instructor who seldom smile when he is conducting trainings. He can be so serious during trainings and drills, but we can joke the next moment... 10 over years of good old memories... ;)

Looking forward to tomorrow's ride and training... It's a pleasure to have 2 days out of office! yeah!~ =)
