Birthday...(updated)

Birthday is nothing but feasting and feasting these days. As one grows older, the meaning of birthday isn't that great anymore. As the years keep increasing yearly, it feels that I'm getting older as the years past me by. Age is just a digit in a person's life, that's what few of my friends told me. As long as I feel YOUNG at heart, I shouldn't feel OLD! hahaha...

20/4 - Met Flor for dinner at one of a mini jap "restaurant" at Far East Plaza Level 5... we tried sake, the japanese wine.. The taste & smell of alcohol is rather strong. I just had 2 cups and the rest Flor drank... *haha*... I had beef set while Flor had chicken terriyaki set. We both shared the food. It was a very satisfying and "horrifying" meal as we had wine, and in the set meal, there's fruit, ie. 2 small slices of watermelon... Why "horrifying"? Cos we were wondering if we would "LS" at the end of the day after eating so much things that is rather too much for the stomachs to bear?... After dinner, I brought Flor to a friend's shop at level 3 - MODXI, opened not long, selling T-shirts designed by my friend. So we bought 2 T-shirts each. Afterwhich, we decided to sit down for a cuppa coffee or ice cream. Thus, we ended up at Swensens. We shared ice cream and a glass of ice-blended coffee. Chatted for a while and made our way home thereafter. Thanks Flor, for spending my birthday with me. Although, on my way home, my stomach upset quite a bit, luckily it wasn't serious. *phew*!

22/4 - celebrated me & my brother's birthday with Jenny and my parents at a coffeeshop over a simple lunch. After that, we went back home and rested awhile then cut cake. Jenny bought a half-kg mango cake from Jack's place cakery. So, as usual, me and my bro blew the 2 candles placed on the cake and took photos... :)

After dinner, met my guy friends - R & S and they intro-ed me another guy friend L at Esplanade's Haagen Dazs over dessert and we chit-chatted till about 10pm...Good catching up with one another as we last met in Oct 06. ;)

23/4 - celebrated my birthday with a few church friends and Jenny at a restaurant called Bungalow at United Sq. Although it was just the 4 of us plus baby Breanna, it's a cozy gathering in a nice ambience. 4 of us shared an "all meat platter" and a bowl of seafood baked rice. I was touched that I still got the chance to celebrate with church friends though it's been quite some time since we celebrated birthdays together. Thanks to Jenny, Lily & Grace who took time to celebrate it with me.

24/4 - celebrated my birthday with Amily. We met at PS and decided to try at Manhattan Fish. It was rather a disappointment for us. We ordered seafood platter set (comes with butter rice, prawns, fish, calamari & oysters) but they have no oysters that day, so we changed to more calamari. It wasn't that fantastic as compared to Fish & Co... We concluded that once is enough...hahaha... Amily bought me a book - Chicken Soup for the Girlfriend's soul for my birthday. Altho I'm not a "book person", I'll try read it as it is not a story book where I need to read continuously. I can take my time to read one article/story slowly at my own pace.

25/4 - Had my lunch with Sharon, Cynthia & Amelia at the JTC next to our office, there's a BOTAK JONES outlet, thus we had our meal there. Sharon & I shared a set of chilli dog, whilst Cynthia & Amelia shared a large plate of fish & chips. 4 of us shared a plate of chicken wings. Meantime, 2 BJ crew came towards our table with a mini choc cheese cake lighted with a candle and sang a birthday song. A real surprise for me tho. After singing the song, they asked me to blow the candle... The candle is a magic candle that could not be blew out! mmm... But I really was touched and a pleasant surprise though... :)
After work, I had made a date with my "bro-at-work" Frankie for dinner. Rainy days for the whole week. Thus, we did not decide on a place to have our dinner. Thot I can squeeze him dry on my birthday with a sumptuous meal, but due to rain, he can't pillion me anywhere. Thus, we settled dinner at TPY Sakae Sushi. hmmm... quite a satisfying meal but was perspiring while eating as the air-con wasn't working well. *sigh* After dinner, we walked to delifrance for coffee and we chatted about everything, including work, office politics, etc...bro, thanks for the treat! ;)
